My dog ate green onions, what to do?

If your dog ate small amount of onions or green onions, he should be just fine. At the most your dog may get an upset stomach, diarrhea and maybe a loss of appetite. But he should feel better within a few days. Just make sure he gets no more onions!

Onions are toxic to dogs but only if they have eaten a large amount.
It takes 100 grams of onion (medium onion) per 40 to 45 pounds of a dog’s weight to cause toxic effects.
